Dear Yanai,
You accompanied me on my blues songs almost every Tuesday for the past year. Little did I know that "the key of C" would be the last words I'd ever hear from you. I would never have imagined in my worst dreams that you would never play "Billie's Blues" with me again. I feel indescribably saddened yet honored to have been the last singer to have ever been accompanied by you. We laughed together about the all the kids taking over the jam two weeks before. We talked about our families; being the "older" generation of musicians at Mike's Place. We talked about our past and present occupations and the music. I walk around in disbelief that I will never see you again. You contributed so much to my fun on stage - and made sure that I gave each musician due time for solos. I mourn you like a family member; I grieve, and shall do everything in my power to uphold your memory, music and soul, together with Orna and the boys. We Are Thinking Of You During This Tradgic Time.

I did not know Yanay nor did I hear him play. We are still connected and I grieve for him and his family. My world is diminished by his death. May the angels watch over him and his family and all of us.

My sincere sympathies.

Words can not express my disbelief and sadness on the loss of a good soul and friend. Yanai was and still is an insparation to me when I go up on a stage to play music. He was the first to show me that music comes from your heart and not from your head. Way back when we preformed together, he "inducted" me to the world of Santana, Creedance Clearwater Revivel and many more of the music he was inspired by.
Yanai was also with me on my first studio experience and I credit him for my love to "studio life".He showd me that you can realy have fun in that very pressured enviroment of the recording studio and I will always cherish that.
To Orna, Ben and Omer, Gidi, Avner and their famelies, Lipa and Yehudit my deepest condolences and my thoughts are with you.

Sadness is an understatement. Tragedy is an understatement. We cry that a innocent man, an innocent family, and a peoples must be so devestated - and for nothing. We pray.

I found out about the terrible loss half hour after it happened. My deepest sympathty to theed widow and the two sons. I hope that perhaps with the new road map the time will finally come to end this terrible cycle of killing innocent people.

I don't know you but i cry...Nothing else to say...i'm sure you will not be forgotten by your familly and the one who love you;

my dearest friend Yanni ,we played guitar together and laughed at different jams the latest at Mikes...Orna you know how much he is loved and what a wonderful musician , family man , & husband he was..
